Who should skip the limo in Whitby
A student going home with a backpack does not need a $120 car. The Lakeshore East GO line runs to Union Station, and from there the UP Express reaches Pearson.
That last train costs $12.35 per adult, or $9.25 when you tap a PRESTO card. Expect two trains and a transfer downtown while carrying your bags. In our view, two travellers with checked bags are already better off in the sedan.
Every extra adult adds another train ticket. Three adults pay $37.05 for the UP Express alone, before any GO fares, and still start at a station.
