Groups split one bill. The 12-seat Sprinter from downtown is $452, close to $38 a head when every seat is filled.
Pearson also has its own stands for licensed taxis and limos, listed on the Toronto Pearson taxi and limo page. They wait on the Arrivals level, at Door C in Terminal 1 and Door E in Terminal 3. Dispatch tracks your flight, and the pickup moves with an early or late landing.
We pull up on the departures road outside your terminal. Tell us the airline when you book, so the driver knows whether it uses Terminal 1 or Terminal 3.
Count back from your flight time to set the pickup. The usual advice is to reach Pearson about 2 hours before a flight inside Canada and 3 hours before an international one. US flights clear American customs at Pearson through US preclearance, so give those extra time.
Example: a 9 AM flight to Chicago from Vaughan. Aim to arrive by 6:30 AM. With 20 minutes on the road and a 10-minute cushion, book the car for 6 AM.
Terminals
Pearson has two passenger terminals, and each airline flies from one of them. Put your airline on the booking, and the car heads to the right terminal.
Landing at one terminal and leaving from the other? The Terminal Link train runs between the two, so nobody needs a car for that hop.
The airport takes its name from Lester B. Pearson, prime minister of Canada from 1963 to 1968. Its code, YYZ, is the one printed on your bag tag.
Booking
Send the date, the pickup time, the pickup address and where you are going. Add how many people, how many suitcases and any child seats. For an airport pickup, the flight number matters most.

Vehicles
The Lincoln MKZ sedan carries 3 people and 3 suitcases, enough for most couples and solo work trips.
Both SUVs hold 6 suitcases. The Chevrolet Suburban seats 6 and the Cadillac Escalade seats 7. A family of five with big bags fits in either one.
The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter seats 12 and still has room for hockey bags. The Escalade stretch limo seats 10 but only takes small bags, so it suits a group travelling light.

On the day
Nothing changes on your bill. Dispatch logs the flight number, the plane is tracked, and the pickup shifts to the real landing time.
A delay carries no extra charge. Firms that send staff through Pearson can set up a business account, billed on one statement each month.
Other options
The UP Express train links Pearson with Union Station. An adult ticket is $12.35 one way, per the UP Express fares page.
For one person who lives near Union with a carry-on, the train is the cheaper trip, and we will say so. Three adults pay $37.05 on the train, still under our $82 sedan, though they must first reach Union with their bags.
The car is worth it when the trip starts in the suburbs or brings children and suitcases. It also wins when the flight leaves before you want to haul luggage through a station.
Connections
A connection can mean landing at Pearson and flying on from another airport. From Pearson, a sedan costs $82 for the Billy Bishop airport limo and $120 for the Hamilton airport limo. It is $167 for the Waterloo airport limo and $452 for the Buffalo airport limo.
The Buffalo run crosses into the United States, so passports or NEXUS cards come along for everyone.
