The drive

How the ride from Vaughan to the airport runs

20 kmRoad distance

Most trips from Vaughan reach Pearson on Highway 427. Riders in the north end may start on Highway 407 ETR, then pick up the 427. With open lanes, the 20 km takes roughly 20 minutes. Weekday rush hour on the 427 can stretch that, so leave some room.

Heading out on a trip, you are let off outside departures at your airline's terminal. Coming home, add the flight number when you book your Vaughan airport limo. Dispatch follows the landing time, so an early or late plane shifts the pickup.

Delays cost nothing extra. The Vaughan fare you booked is the fare you pay, even when the plane is late.

Limo Airport Toronto picks up anywhere in Vaughan, from Woodbridge to Kleinburg, at any hour.

Neighbourhoods

Woodbridge, Maple, Kleinburg and the rest of Vaughan

Also serving Thornhill, Concord, Woodbridge, Kleinburg and Maple, each with its own row in the fare table. Woodbridge is the closest at 15 km, about 15 minutes from Terminal 1. Thornhill is the farthest at 32 km, yet a sedan from there is still $82.

Kleinburg is the one spot with higher car prices: $91 by sedan and $116 by SUV. The village is home to the McMichael Canadian Art Collection, 21 km from the airport.

Maple riders are 29 km out, about 30 minutes away. Concord, at 22 km, has the lowest Sprinter fare in the city at $495, so it suits team trips. Woodbridge has the highest Sprinter fare on this page at $619, even though it sits closest to the terminals.

Timing

Plan an evening flight out of Vaughan

8:30 PMClock time
5:30 PMClock time
20 minDrive time
  1. Take an 8:30 PM flight from Pearson to London. The common advice for an overseas trip is to arrive 3 hours early, so be at the terminal by 5:30 PM.

  2. Off-peak, the drive takes about 20 minutes, but 5 PM on the 427 is seldom quiet. We would add 25 minutes of padding. Take 45 minutes off 5:30 PM and you get a 4:45 PM pickup.

  3. Count suitcases before you pick a vehicle. The sedan trunk takes 3 large cases and no more, so a fourth bag means the SUV.

Distances from Vaughan to the other airports

From Vaughan, Billy Bishop is 26 km and Union Station is 28 km, each about 35 minutes by car. Hamilton is 94 km, Region of Waterloo is 93 km, and Buffalo Niagara is 180 km.

Subway or car

When the subway beats a limo from Vaughan

If you travel alone with a carry-on, a limo is more than you need. Line 1 of the TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) subway starts at Vaughan Metropolitan Centre and runs to Union Station. From Union, the UP Express to Pearson costs an adult $12.35, or $9.25 on a PRESTO card.

The Barrie GO line is the other route, from Maple or Rutherford station down to Union. Both options go south to downtown first, then swing back west to Pearson. That makes them slower than the 20 minute drive, and Union means stairs and transfers with your bags.

A group changes the sum. Three adults pay $37.05 on the UP Express alone, before the subway leg. The $82 sedan collects all three at home, bags included.
